Elementary students who enjoy learning about the armed forces will like this new title on Army Night Stalker helicopters, their gear and their missions.  Written in an easy-to-comprehend manner, the book gives students a basic understanding of what the Army Night Stalkers do in the Special Operations Aviation Regiment.   Students learn not only about several helicopters, but also the different types of equipment they use, including night-vision goggles and Global Positioning Systems (GPS) to help them find their targets.   They also learn the Army Night Stalkers motto and details about their major engagements.   Reluctant readers and those interested in seeing armed-forces vehicles and equipment will be pleased with the color photographs.

The
book includes gorgeous color photographs, easy-to-read text, “Night Stalker Fact” boxes, a glossary of terms, a list of recommended books and web sites, and a general index.

Elementary students who enjoy learning about the armed forces will like this new title on the Marine Expeditionary Units (MEU.  Because it is written in an easy-to-comprehend style, students will gain a basic understanding of what the Marine Expeditionary Unit does in the Special Forces.  The author includes some basic information on this important group, as well as how it performs its air-ground special missions.  Students will become familiar with a variety of vehicles used, including helicopters, tanks, missiles, and guns.  Readers are presented with the Marine Expeditionary Units motto and what its major engagements include.  Reluctant readers and those students interested in seeing armed forces vehicles and equipment will be pleased with the color photographs provided by the author.

In addition to these gorgeous color photographs, the author includes easy-to-read text, “MEU Fact” boxes, a glossary of terms, a list of recommended books and web sites, and a general index.
