A biography of Sonia Sotomayer. The road to success is

descent, Sonias family came to New York looking for a better home life.
Diagnosed with childhood Diabetes at an early age, plus losing her father
shortly after being diagnosed made life for the Sotomayor family very difficult.
Her mother was left with two children and depending on the extended family for
support as she worked to give her children a chance to succeed. 
Sotomayor graduated from Princeton University with academic honors and won a
scholarship to Yale Law school. Sotomayor graduated from Yale University and 
worked her way through the system until she reached US District Court. A woman
who knows no boundaries in reaching her goals, Sotomayor has been recognized as
a role model for Latinas in the United States.
 Proud of her Latina heritage and even more proud of her success through very
hard work, Sotomayor has become an icon and symbol of success now that she has
reached her pinnacle as a justice of the supreme court of the United States.
