This is a graphic-novel version of Romeo
and Juliet by William Shakespeare, with accompanying notes.   This is a good
translation of the play into modern-day language, so that young people will
understand the plot.  The writing is good, the artwork is adequate, and the
notes on Shakespeare and the play at the end are helpful and informative.  All
in all, this book will be an asset for students who want to know what all the
fuss is about regarding Romeo and Juliet but are not up to reading the
original.
One typographical error was found, on page 144, where someone tells Romeo You
are not listing to me instead of listening.
This is part of a series of classical novels that have been rewritten in
graphic-novel form.    Kennedy, Carol
