This easy-to-read
manual could be a godsend to a child with a new dog, and his or her
parents as well. It gives simple but
effective step-by-step instructions on training a dog to sit, heel, walk, wait,
and so on. The illustrations are good
and appropriate to the text. The
Facthound internet site actually takes the reader to two very good websites,
the American Kennel Club site and another one that is geared specifically to
young children. A short list of other
books is included as well, and vocabulary words are defined on a page-by-page basis.
