A fateful call throws a loop into Cameron’s life with a mystery he will have to solve if he wants to save his family.     Cameron and Katie are twins, but as they enter their teen years they slowly grow apart.  Katie is very popular and into sports.  She is an A student and on the swim team at school.  Cameron is much slower at getting involved in things at school and his grades are not that great.  He takes his time about everything,  believing that eventually he will reach his own goals.

Then, out of the blue, comes the call from his sister Katie.  The call is mysterious to begin with, and not at all like Katie, but she insists that he come to the park to get her.  So he gets on his bike and pedals to the park but is not able to locate her.  What he does find is an abandoned newborn baby.  It's very strange place to find a newborn baby, and not knowing what to do, he wraps the baby in his jacket and goes to the nearest hospital with it.  He feels very proud of himself for the very good deed!

A few days later he begins to have doubts as he remembers the call from Katie.  In his excitement, he had forgotten that he went to the park to get Katie.  Now he is not too sure  about anything.  This is a mystery that needs to be unraveled, but Cameron has a feeling he is not going to like the answer.

The novel has a good story line with a hopeful open ending.
