This book describes what a kid picker is and how to become a kid picker and find ways to turn junk into treasureReality shows have gained a lot of popular attention, and American Pickers on the History Channel is no exception.  Mike Wolfe, creator of the popular TV show, has taken his passion for picking directly to a kids level by writing a book to educate and inspire youngsters.

Mike begins this riveting text by explaining what picking is and why it has become his passion.
 He then provides vocabulary and jargon related to the hobby and delivers information on getting started, where to pick, and how to do it. He also responsibly includes the advice that young pickers seek parental permission.

In addition to the informative text, page layout adds much visual appeal.
The fact that the pictures and drawings are in black and white, highlighted by shades of orange, adds to the mystique of the adventure. Inserted captions and pictures, along with brief kid picker testimonials, add to the book’s appeal.
