Eliopoulos, Chris. A Perfect Fit.

Eliopoulos, Chris.  A Perfect Fit.  Capstone/Stone Arch     2014  40p   ISBN 978-1-4342-6024-6    series: Mr. Puzzle  elem  VG    Graphic novel

This story uses a graphic novel format that will appeal to readers who like unusual superheroes. Somewhat reminiscent of SpongeBob, Mr. Puzzle, can morph into any shape to solve problems that could have dire consequences. Told with green and white illustrations (too bad the color from the front cover couldn’t have continued inside) Mr. Puzzle solves four problems. The text is humorous at times and the alliterative names of the villains are sure to bring a smile to readers’ faces.  An addendum includes instructions for drawing Mr. Puzzle, information on the author, a glossary, and writing prompts.

Summary: Mr. Puzzle, a puzzle piece, can stretch, bend, and change shape to help solve problems. A unique superhero solves four problems by using his flexibility. Humor, alliteration, and dire problems come together for a pleasant read. Grades 3-6.
