Gwen's the twelfth and final link in the “Circle.  This makes her both important and a target for the enemies of the Circle.  Her intriguing adventures take her back in time (accompanied by Gideon de Villiers, her partner) to find blood samples from deceased members of The Circle that need to be read into the chronograph.  They find additional clues throughout their travels, but one clue (that one shall die so that the other can live) proves perplexing until they can figure out a solution.

The author has created a series that will intrigue readers with its believable characters (Xemerius the gargoyle ghost, James the ghost, and Leslie, a schoolmate best friend), romantic interludes, and suspenseful adventures involving time travel.  It seems that Gwyneth Shepard is not an everyday normal girl after all.   She needs Gideon to save her from the fate that readers will discover in the book’s cliffhanger ending.
 
Sapphire Blue is the second book in the series.

Summary: This is the final book in the Ruby Red Trilogy, in which readers will learn the ultimate secret of this time-traveling Circle of Twelve.  Readers will be pleased with the intrigue, romance, historical settings, and fast-paced trips back into various time periods.
