The companion book to the Animal Planet
series “Finding Bigfoot”, this book provides the reader with everything you
ever wanted to know, and more, about Bigfoot. In a
format that is most appealing and engaging, this fun read could convince even
the skeptics out there that Bigfoot (or Yeti or Sasquatch) could be real. The text and
illustrations (photos and such) follow a “splat!” kind of format. Think in terms of the old Batman shows, where these sudden
splashes of colors and words would appear on the TV, and then immediately go back to
the story. Well, there is so
much going on in this book that it feels very much the same as that old TV show to
this reader. “Spotted!” sidebars appear frequently throughout the book, highlighting
individual cases of Bigfoot sightings. Then there are the Bigfoot themed recipes, timelines, tables and
other evidentiary instances with photos that serve to support the theory of the
existence of Bigfoot, from prehistoric cave walls to the present day. In all fairness, the hoaxes and other negative opinions are also
presented, making this book appear to have only a limited bias in favor of Bigfoot. There is a great deal of Bigfoot
stuff presented here in a fun and engaging book, which ends with lists of further materials, both print and web, and an index. Readers will have a lot of fun with this book which is hopefully
the point.
Summary: The companion book to the Animal Planet series “Finding Bigfoot”,
this book provides the reader with everything you ever wanted to know, and
more, about Bigfoot.
