Searles, Rachel.  The Stolen Moon.  Macmillan/Feiwel & Friends  2015  360p  $15.99  ISBN 978-1-250-03880-7  ms  Science fiction  E-BN

Sequel to The Lost Planet.  Chase, Lilli and Parker are living hidden on Captain Lennard’s spaceship, the Kuyddestor.  It is sent on a mission to help settle a dispute between the inhabitants of a planet and those living on its moon.  The spaceship feels safe, but Chase still wants answers about his parents and why he and Lilli have special abilities.

A negotiator for the peace conference boards the spaceship and Chase hears information that raises questions
for him.  A surprise attack on the Kuyddestor leaves the spaceship and all his friends in mortal danger, and the children are captured and stranded on a barren moon in the middle of this war.  But they find a way to rescue themselves and save the day.  Since Chase’s questions are still unanswered, it is most likely that another volume will follow.

Readers will love the adventure, action, and strange creatures and planets in this story.  It is about friendship and family set in an alien world.

Summary: Sequel to The Lost Planet.  Chase, Lilli and Parker are happily living hidden on a spaceship.  During a war between two alien worlds, they are trapped on an alien moon and must save themselves and the spaceship.  Grades 4-7
